The main body of BPXTM column consists of glass tube and stainless steel plate, and realizes high standards of hygiene and superior mechanical strength with plastic net by being equipped with sintered wire mesh filter, compared to competitor’s chromatography column.  BPXTM columns are manufactured according to GMP guideline of FDA by using materials compatible to USP class VI, which is suitable to manufacturing processes of food and pharmaceutical industry as well as laboratory use.   The stainless steel components of  column main body  are acid-washed  to passive state and treated with electropolishing.

Ready to Use : No need to worry about how to select parts or options of column.  The set of chromatographic column consists of a glass tube, a column adaptor, and the start-up kit including all parts required for operating chromatographic column like as spare parts, connecting lines, and valves.  It is ready to use by packing resin into column after installing on the stand and connecting column to pump or control system. 

GlassTube : Adapt high precision borosilicate glass of thickness tolerable to designated pressure, which is supplied by SCHOTT(DURAN), Germany.

Column adaptor : The sintered wire mesh filter of remarkable durability realizes no-clogging and laminar flow with even streamline operation.  The column volume can be easily adjusted by moving up and down the adaptor along the axis when the single screw net is tightened, compressing o-ring into glass wall by compressing single screw nut of double pipes.  In case of small column adaptor, the single screw adaptor can be tightened or loosened manually without using any other  tools.  

Base end-piece : The same sintered wire mesh filter as column adaptor minimizes pressure drop across the filter , and enables perfect laminar flow operation of even streamline by installing the filter of same diameter as internal diameter of glass tube.

Column stand : For small lab column, the ring stand is supplied to install the column onto, and the tripod stand with leveling bolts or casters is supplied for larger columns, enabling moving freely on the floor.

Connectors : Small lab column is equipped with PTFE plug valve including M6(6mm) male union and PTFE tubing, and larger column is equipped with swagelok ball valve or 3/8S ball valve of 1/4” or 3/8” Stainless steel 316L tubing, so as to connect directly chromatography system. Readiness to use and the integrity of chromatography column are our policy of business.

Sintered wire mesh filter : The stainless steel 316L filter consists of 5 layers wire mesh filter and supporters having even thickness of 1.7mm which shows no-clogging, excellent mechanical strength and wonderful resistance to corrosion by various solvent and chemicals.  The sintered wire mesh filter consisting of protective layer, control layer(filter screen), dispersion layer, two reinforcing layers secures efficient liquid distribution , and can serve fully its performance, during whole life time especially enabling CIP by steam and chemicals.  The filter opening of base end-piece is 10um and that of column adaptor is 20um so as not to allow any loss of packing resin but to allow feed of dirty or viscous samples having particles (< 5um) without causing any clogging.  It is reliable and easy to clean the column after use.
